A V Vedpuriswar

AV Vedpuriswar (Ved) has a total of 30 years of work experience, 10 in Academics and 20 in industry. Most of this experience has been in the area of Learning and Development.

Ved currently works with Cognizant. He earlier worked with UBS, Satyam, ICFAI and Tata Steel. At Cognizant, he is part of the Global Leadership Development team. His primary role is to help senior leaders (with experience of 15-20 years or more) to develop business and financial acumen to grow their business.

Ved has a deep interest in writing as he believes writing helps him become more clear in his thinking and develop a conceptual understanding.

Ved is strongly committed to the case method of teaching . He brings a cross functional perspective in class discussions.

Ved lives in Hyderabad with his mother, Lakshmy and his wife, Ananthalakshmi . His children, Vishwanath and Lakshmy are studying in IIT Madras.

Debapratim Purkayastha

Debapratim Purkayastha is the Associate Dean at ICFAI Business School Hyderabad (IFHE University). Purkayastha has more than 16 years’ teaching, research and industry experience. He teaches Business Strategy at IBS Hyderabad. He is the Consulting Editor of 'Case Folio – The IUP Journal of Management Case Studies', and an Editorial Board member for 'Case Research Journal' published by North American Case Research Association (NACRA).

Purkayastha is an internationally renowned case method expert. He has won numerous case method awards including the highly prestigious ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Case Method’ award from the UK-based The Case Centre. In addition to featuring in the list of all time bestselling authors of case studies written over the past four decades, he has won multiple case method awards and recognition from the Academy of Management (AOM), Association of MBAs (AMBA), CEEMAN, EFMD, Emerald Group Publishing, NACRA, oikos International (Switzerland), The Case Centre UK, John Molson School of Business (University of Concordia, Canada), China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), AESE Business School (Portugal), etc.

Many of Purkayastha’s cases are published in global editions of textbooks of renowned authors and publishers. He has conducted a number of case method workshops in leading B-schools in India and abroad. He also regularly serves as jury and judging panel member for many international case writing/teaching competitions.

Vijaya Narapareddy 

Vijaya Narapareddy holds a Ph.D., from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Currently, she is Associate Professor and Fellow of Institute of Enterprise Ethics, Daniels College of Business, University of Denver, where she teaches traditional and online courses in Business Policy and Strategy, Global Management, and Global Social Entrepreneurship. A gold medalist from India, Dr. Narapareddy continues to receive awards for her case research, reviewing, teaching, and service. She has published articles and numerous case studies in Corporate Governance, Global Strategy, and Global Social Entrepreneurship in premier journals. She enjoys developing innovative teaching practices and offers professional development workshops on developing theory from case research, teaching with cases, teaching online with cases, and writing publishable cases at the Academy of Management and overseas. A past president of the North American Case Research Association (NACRA), Vijaya Narapareddy currently serves on the editorial boards of four leading case journals and is the Program Chair of the Teaching Community of the Strategic Management Society (SMS).

Rik Paul

Prior to his career in academics Rik served as an EHS consultant for GENPACT. He earned his PhD from IFHE University and received his professional training in management pedagogy from The International Management Teachers Academy (IMTA) at IEDC Bled School of Management, Slovenia. Rik is an award-winning author of case studies and is featured in UK based Case Centre. Rik’s case studies are used in management classrooms all over the world and have topped International Case Writing Competitions organized by The Central and Eastern European Management Development Association (CEEMAN), Emerald Group Publishing (UK) and John Molson School of Business (University of Concordia, Canada). His innovative case teaching techniques have received award nominations from prestigious international academic communities like the Marketing Management Association (USA), The Society for Marketing Advances (USA) and The Wharton School of Management, University of Pennsylvania (USA). Rik is a regular resource person in MDPs for Indian Army Officers, Public Sector Banks and Retail Industries. His teaching, research and training interests encompass Services Marketing, Strategic Marketing Management Marketing Research, Online Marketing and Management Pedagogy. Rik is one of the best-rated teachers at IBS Hyderabad, presently the PhD supervisor for three doctoral candidates.
